LA Story - 2005

A modern day L.A. Story - I've never seen anything like this (I apologize for the crappy picture but it was dark out).

For the weekend, we spent the weekend in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The first night we sit down for dinner and start with a cheese plate. I thought the cheese plate was a bit small, but it was an appetizer and not at all expensive, so *shrug*. Then came the main course - I ordered a burger and my boyfriend the ahi tuna. My plate arrives (outlined in blue) - a one foot square plate filled with meat, salad, and yummy garlic fries. My boyfriend's plate arrives (outlined in red), and it was a 3 inch square plate not filled to the brim -- a small piece of ahi the size of a sashimi slice. I didn't think restaurants really served food like this, that it was just a myth or something that went out with the 80s.
