Yeah, I know the title is nonsense, but give me a break. I've been hopped up on Tylenol Cold - non-drowsy formula, for 4 days now, and I'm feeling a little dopey, a lot of speedy.
I've been in bed all day, surrounded by process maps and my computer, trying to make sense of it all. Who ever said there was no creativity in my day job? Anyways, at one point, I threw it all down and noticed the cool shadows undulating across my notebook. Flip, fresh page. Click - share - and here we are. It would have been so much easier if I could get blogger mobile to work, but bleh - I'm sick of fooling with it.
I think it's time for another dose of Tylenol. Hooray!
I've had crazy dreams lately. I haven't had a chance to write about them, but I will soon. And at some point, let's just say next year since I know aiming for anything this year is a joke, there will be a series of paintings based on my wacky, tacky dreams.
So instead of staying in my sleep-depraived state of mind, I'm going to post a photo from Carmel (oh Carmel, you were so long ago...) and pretend that I'm in that state of mind.
It's cold and gray. Something happens around 5:30 PM - I swear the temperature drops from 60 to 40 at that exact moment. I want sunny and 70, that dips just to maybe a chilly 55 at night - keyword being night, not 6 pm when it's still daylight out. It's April already, but I guess Mother Nature hasn't got the memo yet.
But, that's enough complaining. Other than being a little chilly and still needing to wear fluffy house shoes, life is good. It's not slushy melon margarita good yet, but that's just around the corner. Well, if Mother Nature ever gets that memo. Maybe she's on vacation in the tropics, enjoying her own cocktail.
When I saw this on the news yesterday I just burst out laughing. This look is the exact same look Milo used to give me when he would hop onto the couch. "I dare you to tell me to get off of here."
Tiffany (scream real loud) misunderstood when her date said "Let's Go Dutch"
Raju and I saw this last night on our way to the wine bar. I thought of Tiffany (scream real loud), not because I can see her in this get up, but just because her name is Tiffany (scream real loud) and she's my friend. She's actually my famous friend. She knows famous people and even has an IMDB entry. It's funny that I'm learning that she was in a movie from IMDB -- though who knows, she may have told me this before and I've just forgotten (highly likely).
We have also learned from Tiffany (scream real loud) that organic milk lasts longer than regular milk. Being the geeks that we are, we had to find out why this morning.
Here's to Tiffany (scream real loud). Now if I just had a scooter.
NOTE: I was never really a fan of Pee Wee's Playhouse -- but my cousin was and we watched it a lot to make her happy. I did enjoy the set though. The Secret Word is the one thing I do remember. For the Scooter at the end, we'll thank Wikipedia.
Art is about experiences. It is about the experiences you, as a viewer, bring with you. It is about the experiences I've had over my lifetime.
So I'm giving you a glimpse into my life and experiences. This diary is a compilation of current events, reminiscences, thoughts, and even a few posts about my pieces.
Feel free to share your experiences with me via the comments links.
A southern girl, displaced, but loving every minute of it. A drifter through life, living in the moment or just enjoying that moment. An artist who forgoes the thinking to just create. An impassioned soul, but only for the briefest of periods... until the next new thing comes along. A comedian, well, I amuse myself anyway. :-)
